Okay I will admit that I have nothing to much to show of my claim that I have any influence in matters so lofty of feeding the hungry and cleaning the waters of the earth. As far as shelter I can speak with some experience. Engineering is also an area I would invite critical inspection of proposed methodologies in construction, energy and transportation. If you are an expert or have strong opinion on any element of societies actions that create a cooperative alliance of individuals that you believe could be scaled to practices of other societies I want to explore with you. Did I mention TED.COM? It is a great source of information. Some really bright people that have found a voice. I would love to go to a conference! I would love to speak about what I see as an emerging awareness shared by an unknowing majority.

  1. Everyone should really take a moment to check out Charles' website, www.globalshetlerproject.org, the TED videos on YouTube, and any related topics that peak your interest. As you start to explore you will find that this message and goal is much more involved and far more widespread than it may first appear at a glance. It involves everyone and affects all of us. The shift in our awareness as a global community is crucial for the universal goal of Global Shelter Project and many other similar groups and organizations to be realized and achieved.

Become a part and make your voice heard!

  2. Charles Holsopple...you may say that he's a dreamer, but he's not the only one :) wouldn't it be a beautiful thing for all people everywhere to have clean water, food , and shelter? Charles is a man who sees things and people in all their simple compexities. His hope, as i understand it, is for all countries everywhere to be prepared in case of , or in many cases, currently in the midst of , crisis, drought, famine, and natural catastrophe .His forward thinking brings new awareness everywhere he goes, and soon he will be shining his light around the world, with hopes of finding support from colleges, scientists ,and like minded travelers of life, who are doing similar research and have the same ultimate goal. To create sustainable communities that are culturally and environmentally in harmony with the people and the land . The basic needs must be met first in times of crisis, chaos, and disaster.. Water, shelter, and food. Charles hopes to get support from colleges around the world to create a revolutionary building material that will make it possible to stack, distribute, and construct shelters quickly and efficiently in times of disaster and need. These will be structures that will be solid and long lasting, rather than temporary. They will be built in a way that fosters community, harmony ,and civil responsibility. Ideally, the plan for all this in place before the disaster occurs. The life and death issues of water and food will also be a serious aim for study and research, each area of the world being unique in it's needs and cultural diversity. Where is the water? How do we get it to those in need ? I think Charles hopes that the great and beautiful minds of people who are already in the process of looking for answers to these questions might join together and work towards a common goal of caring for each other in the most compassionate and humane way in times of need and disaster. It is sometimes hard to imagine the living conditions that people suffer through each day when we live with such abundance in this beautiful country...and it's probably hard for those who suffer to imagine how wonderful it feels to have running water, a home, and food on a regular basis.. may all the people everywhere having clean water, a home, and food to eat.... and may they be happy and free.. you may say that i'm a dreamer, but i'm not the only one :)Please Support Global Shelter Project, and you support us all ... imagine.
